We're looking for a passionate and innovative Coding / Computer Science Teacher to inspire the next generation of tech thinkers at American Christian Academy. You'll design engaging lessons, bring programming to life for K-12 students, and foster a love of technology, creativity, and problem-solving in a Christ-centered learning environment.
Your Mission
- 01Plan and deliver engaging lessons in coding, computer science, computational thinking, and digital literacy
- 02Teach age-appropriate programming languages and technology concepts across K-12
- 03Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving through technology-based learning
- 04Design and implement assessments, monitor student progress, and provide constructive feedback
- 05Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning needs and skill levels
- 06Integrate project-based learning experiences that encourage innovation and practical application
- 07Promote responsible, ethical, and safe use of technology
- 08Support students through academic guidance, enrichment opportunities, and tech-related activities
- 09Maintain an organized, engaging, and effective learning environment
- 10Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to continuous school improvement initiatives
What You Bring
Must-have
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or Scratch)Classroom management and lesson planningStrong written and verbal communication in EnglishMinimum 2 years teaching experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field
